Product Description
This Frog & Friends Virtual Hangman activity was designed for use in group articulation therapy, but can easily be adapted to any activity in which students take turns.

The activity can be used even when each student in the group is addressing a different sound/task.

The goal of this activity is to guess the letters and ultimately the target word. Target words could be words with the students target sound, or when working on language skills, might include words you’ve been teaching your students to define, provide synonyms for, etc.

You will need a dry erase marker, eraser, and one laminated copy of page 3 (Frog & Friends Virtual Hangman alphabet sheet).

To play:

Print and laminate one copy of page 3 of this document.

Open the document on your iPad/laptop/PC and advance to page 4 of the document.

Choose a word and draw blank lines on the Frog & Friends Hangman alphabet sheet coordinating with the number of letters in the chosen word.

Choose a student to be the first player. The student guesses a letter for the target word, then crosses that letter off the Frog & Friends Virtual Hangman alphabet sheet.

If the letter chosen is in the target word, they are safe from cutting a piece from the Frog & Friends scene, but they must produce a word/phrase/sentence using their target sound or complete the language task of your choice.

If the letter is not a part of the target word, the student taps/clicks the lightning bolt to remove a piece of the scene and he/she must produce a word/phrase/sentence using his/her target sound or complete a language task of your choice.

Proceed with each student taking a turn choosing a letter for the word until someone completes or guesses the target word.

If a student completes or guesses the word before the scene has been completely disassembled, erase the target word and fill in blanks for a new target word. Be sure to also erase the marks from the alphabet letters.

Continue until the scene is completely disassembled. The student that cuts off the last piece of the Frog & Friends scene is the Hangman.
