Work on word associations (receptively and expressively) with this highly interactive activity where the frogs need to find their lilypad. Each frog has a picture on its stomach (e.g., chicken). Each lily pad has a picture on it that goes with a picture on a frog's belly (e.g., egg). This activity works great as a one-to-one activity or as a group activity.
To Play: Spread out the ponds on the ground. The children pick a frog and put it on the lilypad that it is associated. To make it an expressive activity, have the children say why they go together.
To Make:Print activity off on cardstock. Cut them out and then laminate them. One option is to put velcro on top of the pond and the bottom of the frog so that they stay together.
