A booklet to help introduce making summaries and reading chapter books for the first time. Goes along with the book Frog and Toad are Friends by Arnold Lobel.
They are made to be copied front to back (which is why they look out of order), then cut in half, and stapled into a booklet.
The intention is to read one chapter a day, then write a summary of the chapter. These were intended for small groups who were ready for enrichment, not a whole class activity, but they would work fine for both, depending on how much support you provide.
Can be differentiated: the student could read the chapter, and then write their summary, or the teacher could read the chapter to the student, and then write the summary together.
