Book information: Lexile 700, Ages 9-13, GRL: S, DRA: 40, AR: 4.7
Literature Circle questions with answer key to accompany the book. Created to be used by my students during guided reading groups. I have included an answer key for the teacher to aide him/her in the event they don't have time to actually read the book.
There is one section in the book where the children (who have run away) bathe in a fountain, so if you don't read it, you might want to be aware it is in there. It is school appropriate, but some of your students might be surprised when they come upon it.
I have included a link at the beginning of the questions the students may use (it is from scholastic) that gives author information about E.L. Konigsburg. I have also included two items at the end where the students can rewrite the end of the story and the other where they can choose their favorite character to illustrate. Under the illustration they may include a caption explaining why they chose this character in this particular setting.
There is a total of 11 pages, but 7 of the pages are the student copy and the rest is the answer key.
