The fronts research unit was created to help students’ research topics to gain an understanding of the cold front, warm front, stationary front, and occluded front. This unit integrates English language arts and science. The tasks in the fronts research unit were created to help students in the second through twelfth grades research fronts to master common core state standards. Many of the tasks are differentiated to help students learn at different educational levels. The rigor of the fronts unit will also be differentiated based on the teacher-selected and students –selected print research resources and electronic research resources that will be used to complete the unit. The fronts research unit includes sixty-five pages that include step-by-step instruction on how to implement the unit. This unit includes many educational tasks. The teacher will decide which tasks he or she wants to include from the fronts research unit. These are the common core state standards the students will master during the fronts research unit.
