Students apply their knowledge of fractions in a concrete, delicious way! Students will be given a baggie or handful of froot loops to work with, so each student will be using different fractions. I liked to put the cereal in the small baggie ahead of time and just pass them out the day of the lesson. In the lesson, students must name the fraction of the froot loops that represent each color. There are ten steps on the page with the last step for the students to eat the froot loops! Some of the language may need to be reviewed with the students before the lesson begins. I modified the lesson for my older groups to simply the fractions throughout the page, as well.
