Hello fellow educators! I have designed this packet for early language learners and/or those children who struggle with the demands of producing the simplest forms of oral narration. Demands are high when a student is faced with the tasks of simultaneously organizing ideas and recalling words while planning oral motor movements.
The activities in this packet incorporate vocabulary from two of the earliest learned categories, fruits and farm animals. The visual supports provide the child with the opportunity to "see" the flow of oral narration and manipulate the vocabulary to "feel" it. Color coding is also provided as an additional support so students can key into important information while listening and answering questions.
Activities in the packet focus on the skills of:
---Categorization and Classification
---Posing and Answering Questions
---Defining and Describing
---Summarizing and Paraphrasing
Build upon learned skills to develop new skills...enjoy!
