These Fruit and Vegetable 3-Part Cards feature common produce from Caribbean and Latin America, such as: jicama, green mango, yuca root, yellow yam, avocado, tomatillo, papaya, chayote, plantain, apple banana, baby banana, pineapple, and coconut. These cards would be wonderful for teachers and parents, alike. Educators, in both the school and home settings, can use these for literacy centers, geography/culture, and nutrition lessons. For Montessori teachers, use these on your cultural (geography/science) shelves when you are working on your South America or Mexico units, nutrition, and cultural snacks. It is also a great experience for the children to experience tasting these fruits and vegetables!
When you download you will receive a .pdf file with seven pages of cards for you to print, cut out, and laminate that contain 14 different produce items. Children match the names and words as they see them in the card with both the picture and the word. Enjoy!
