This is a mixer activity that uses animal vocabulary, including 16 sets of twins. Each student gets a sheet with 5 pictures. Students mingle, speaking in the target language, trying to find their twin (the only other student with all 5 of the same pictures, but in a different order). This activity may be used on many different levels: identify the fruit/vegetable; describe the fruit/vegetable; "I like" the fruit/vegetable; "I want" the fruit/vegetable; "I am buying" the fruit/vegetable; change tenses; change verbs. Once twins find each other, they should find something that they really have in common (favorite fruit/vegetable, etc) that is related to both the grammar and the vocabulary of the activity. This activity has pictures only so may be used for any language; the only text is in English - "twin" and "in common".
