This system helps students, parents, and teachers track student progress on Fry's sight words. It facilitates communication on progress between home and school and gives students autonomy over their learning. It also includes teacher tips on adapting the system to use as heart words, and a parent letter explaining how heart words work.
The sight words are divided into lists of 10, each named after an animal. After a student masters the words in one list, he or she moves on to the next list.
This system can be used to cover either the first 100 words or the first 200, depending on your grade level and state standards.
