I assess my students on their sight word knowledge through my work as a Reading teacher. I often have students who are two to three grade levels below their classmates. When I get a student who is that behind, I need to work from the group up to see where the deficit grew. One of the first assessments I give my students is a sight words test. For this resource, I used the Fry word lists. The 1st to the 10th hundred words are in here, for a total of 1,000 Fry words.
Instructions on how to use and printing suggestions are included on the second page of the resource.
To find a Fry word list to use, I searched online and used one of the first lists that came up for my student copies. I searched "fry word lists" and the first PDF format that pops up should be the same as the one I use. This is the one I used: https://web.kamihq.com/web/viewer.html?source=extension_pdfhandler&file=http%3A%2F%2Fbjh.dadeschools.net%2Fassets%2Ffry_complete_1000.pdf
