Fluency charts build reading fluency through repeated reading. Students are repeatedly exposed to sight words in a short period of time. I use these fluency charts for practice and assessment during small group work and interventions. They are also useful for whole group work and at-home practice.
This unit contains fluency charts for the second 100 Fry Sight Words. These are some of the most common words found in text.
20 Fluency Charts
I have divided the 100 words into 20 lists of 5 words. You may choose to use one or two lists per week depending on the ability of your students. You may also choose to differentiate lists among your class.
To see if these charts will fit your own curriculum, please view the pacing guide in the preview.
(Please note that the First 100 Fry Words are also available. For that reason, this unit begins with "Unit 5." Units 1-4 are the first 100 words.)
