This is a great game for your RTI or Response to Intervention groups.
Used in a small group with an adult or an older child leader, your students will gain more word power and have fun at the same time.
If you're looking for a game to help your students learn those 4th set of 100 Fry Words, then this game is just what you need.
You can play with 2-9 players. The object of the game is to have the most cards when the game is over. (The game is over when your time is up or if there are no more cards left.) The other object of the game is to become fluent in reading these basic words.
There are 102 actual words plus 14 special cards that make the game more exciting. They might have to trade cards with someone, reverse the order of the game, turn all of their cards in or even draw an extra card. The kids love it because it changes all the time.
The game ends when your time is up or when all the cards are gone. . . usually it's when your time is up and you need to move to another activity.
