This resource is simple but SO useful. It contains over 500 color coded flashcards representing phrases for all 600 Fry sight words. There are 5 different games that are extremely versatile because they can be used with any of the flashcards (or any other flashcards you might have around your classroom :) I've also included assessments for all six sets of phrases. The preview download includes full-page views of the flashcards, some of the games, and the assessment for the first set of phrases. A breakdown of the packet's contents is as follows:
pg. 3-56: Fry Sight Word Phrase Flashcards
~ Green Set: Phrases w/ 1st 100 Fry Words
~ Teal Set: Phrases w/ 2nd 100 Fry Words
~ Orange Set: Phrases w/ 3rd 100 Fry Words
~ Red Set: Phrases w/ 4th 100 Fry Words
~ Blue Set: Phrases w/ 5th 100 Fry Words
~ Purple Set: Phrases w/ 6th 100 Fry Words
pg. 57-58: Roll ‘N Read Game
~ Kids roll a die, then take that many cards from the
stack. They read the cards & keep the ones they read
correctly. The player with the most cards when the
deck is gone wins!
pg. 59-62: Red Light! Game
~ Kids flip cards over and read the phrases until they flip
over a "Red Light" card, then remove the cards they
read correctly. The next player starts reading where
the first one left off. The player with the most cards
when the deck is gone wins!
pg. 63-67: Build It Up! Game
~ In this Lego-themed game, kids get to put phrases they
read correctly on their game mats. The first player to
cover up all the Legos on their mat wins!
pg. 68-73: Spin ‘N Read Game
~ Kids spin a number, draw that many cards, and read
them to the other players. They keep any cards they
read correctly. The player with the most cards when
the deck is gone wins!
pg. 74-78: Game On! Board Games
~ Each space on the game board has a number from 1-3.
Kids roll a die, move forward, draw the number of
phrase cards indicated by the space they landed on,
and read the cards to the other players. The first player
to reach the end wins! (3 different game boards are
