Fry's First 300 High Frequency Words and Sentence Flash Cards

This is the third addition to the Flash On! series. The words included in this file come from Fry's first 300 high frequency words.

These flashcards were designed with one thing in mind, fluency. While it is important that students are able to recognize certain words with a high level of automaticity, it is also important that they read the words in context to promote more fluent reading.

Use these cards to reinforce and promote word identification and fluency. I created my own sentences to go with each word. So, instead of reading the words in short phrases, students will read each word in a complete sentence.

To prepare, simply print, laminate, cut out, and place on a ring.

There are three sets of cards:
*The first set has a dinosaur theme and includes the words from the First 100 High Frequency word list.
*The second set has a cat theme and includes the words from the Second 100 High Frequency word list.
*The third set has an owl theme and includes the words from the Third 100 High Frequency word list.

Each set includes a blank set of cards so you can create your own flash cards.

Suggestions for use are also included.
