Ever wonder what to do once your students master sight words? Do your students need help with fluency, but fluency passages aren't working?
Once a student masters his/her sight words individually, sight word phrases are a great tool to use next. Sight word phrases continue to help with sight words, but also begin to help students to practice their fluency.
These cards contain the first 100 of Fry's Sight Word Phrases. They are divided into sets 1 through 5 with 18 phrases per set (Set 5 has 9 phrases). All of the first 100 phrases have butterflies on them, but each set is a different color so the students know which set they are practicing. Students will practice each set until they master it with no mistakes. He/she will move on to the next set until all 5 sets have been mastered. A class recording sheet is also provided.
Also included is a PowerPoint with all of the first 100 phrases for whole group practice! The PowerPoint is formatted to look similar to their flash cards.
This is a fun way to practice fluency and sight words for students, and an easy way to differentiate your Reading class!
