I use the sight words folder for my readers who struggle. Using the folder helps boosts their confidence with reading. I meet with them individually and highlight the words that they are able to read on sight. They practice the words at home or in class.
Included is a motivational tracker. When they are able to read all the words in a list, I give them a sticker and write the date. This helps to see how they are progressing. I usually include goals for them (ex they should be on list 4 by the end of the month, etc) to help motivate them.
I print the lists 2 to a page, cut them in half, and prong them in a manilla folder that has been cut in half also.
Hope this helps!
*I added different front pages- a dinosaur hold a book, and an elephant holding a book.
