The purpose of this packet is for students to practice identifying facts and opinions when reading. I created this to be a reading station in my classroom. Students complete the worksheet and can then sort the cards under the correct headers in partners or independently. A second game, Fact and Opinion Tic-Tac-Toe, is also included for partners.
This packet includes several activities:
*Directions for a Fact and Opinion Tic-Tac-Toe Game for two players
*Directions for a Rush Hour Fact and Opinion Sorting Activity that requires students to sort sentences under the correct fact or opinion header card.
* Independent Car Lot Fact and Opinion worksheet that practices identifying facts and opinions with a given text. An answer key is provided.
*Answer key for Rush Hour Fact and Opinion Sorting (Tic-Tac-Toe is self checking, no key needed!))
*Fact and Opinion poster for display
