This lesson explores patterns in the multiplication table which help students remember the tables. Students start by filling in a blank 10x10 multiplication table by any methods they know. Then they circle the odd numbers. Next they check their answers and color in the diagonal symmetry pattern.
These two patterns help students check their answers and discover if any are incorrect. A great activity for any student learning the tables.

1 Page with answers to the 10x10 multiplication grid
3 Pages showing patterns in a 10x10 multiplication gird.
After doing this lesson, filling in a blank 10x10 grid should be done again as a follow up activity. Using the skills they learn in this lesson, they should do much better the second time.
FYI- All of my creative multiplication lessons are bundled in one product called Multiplication Unplugged. That may work out cheaper than buying lessons separately.
