Fun Probability Activities - Intro to Probability and Probability Vocabulary

Description
This low prep resource is a great introduction to probability. It introduces probability vocabulary - certain, impossible, possible, likely, unlikely, and equally likely - and gives students a chance to apply these words in a variety of situations and events.
Students will also get the opportunity to think about different probability events and get hands on practice with spinners, coins, and dice.
The probability activities include:
- 5 anchor charts / probability posters to help students learn probability vocabulary - certain, impossible, possible, likely, unlikely, and equally likely
- 7 activities that allow students to practice the probability vocabulary, thinking about a variety of different events
- hands on probability practice and graphing with spinners, dice, and coins
- 16 probability task cards that require students to think about whether a certain event is possible or impossible, and then defend their reasoning
- a grading rubric and answer keys
The preview shows everything that is included!
This mini unit can be used as probability homework, for probability review, or as center activities for 3rd grade (grade 3), 4th grade (grade 4), or 5th grade (grade 5) students.
