This is a supplemental activity that I used when I went over decibels and sound levels with my 3rd grade ESL class. It is a pretty straight-forward cut and paste activity. One sheet has 8 photos of 'things' that make volume on them. The pasting sheet has 8 blank spaces to paste the things in order or decibel levels. The sheet also has blanks so that the students can write in the decibel numbers they think the items give off.
Note: The photo page needs to be scaled down 50% (or printed 2 sheets per page) to fit into the empty boxes on the pasting page.
I used the excellent infographic and soundboard from this website:
to go along with my lesson.
I hope it works well and your students enjoy it as much as mine!
