These are FUN small-group, team-building activities that the students really get into.
It can be quite creative and interesting to see what the students come up with when they write down answers in small group settings.
ï‚· Break class into equal groups; 5-6 per group works quite well.
ï‚· Pass out ONE of the question pages below (there are SIX total, for six separate activities).
ï‚· Have them WRITE THEIR NAMES at the top of their group's page, to hold them accountable for responding appropriately.
ï‚· Give them a set period of time to work through the questions, coming up with ONE, creative group answer for each question.
ï‚· When time is up, collect the pages.
ï‚· READ each question aloud to the class and then the responses to that question from every group. The kids will listen with attention and curiosity! The answers will be both insightful and hilarious!
ï‚· For an additional activity, I have the STUDENTS form a list of questions they'd like to ask the class. They should be open-ended questions, avoiding the YES/NO variety. I then collect those and put (or tweak) the best ones into small group Q&A pages. They love this!
