I LOVE the story of the Thunderbird. I find it to be one of the most accessible of all Native American Legends. Many totem poles are topped with a Thunderbird and many of these have survived in museum collections not to mention new Thunderbirds are being created by Native Americans today.
This is a three page printout of a Thunderbird for your students to color and cut out and two writing prompts.
Please check out my store for my other Native American Heritage Month activities that are under three dollars. These include a Seven Foot Totem Pole (that you can actually stack up for a 20 foot Totem Pole if you wanted), and an activity pack that includes Totem Cubes and diorama printouts.
I hope your students enjoy!
