Product Description
Fun and engaging RESEARCH PROJECT about the Renaissance! Student choice and creativity are highlighted as they select a voice from which to write and deliver a eulogy for ANY figure from the Renaissance. Please note this project can be used for ANY period of history. Just simply swap out the words "Renaissance" and swap in whichever unit you need a writing project (Vietnam War, Cold War, WWI, etc).

Teachers are able to assess student thinking about the time period, ability to use first person in a formal piece of writing, ability to use in-text citations to cite their work, and ability to incorporate research into their writing.

Standards:
CC. 6-8.W.3 – Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.
CC. 6-8.SL4 -- Present information, findings, and supporting evidence clearly, concisely, and logically such that listeners can follow the line of reasoning and the organization, development, substance, and style are appropriate to purpose, audience, and task.
