This product is a fun science activity that will help students learn about inclined planes. This activity will help students to learn about the benefits of using simple machines.
Make a ramp (1 foot high) in your classroom (textbooks or dictionaries work well) and have students walk up the ramp after jumping 1 foot straight up in the air. Students will compare the difference in time and how their leg muscles feel.
Information about the activity for teachers and student recording sheet included. Students can write answers on sheet. Discussion time can be built into the activity.
I have done this in my classroom for years and it is a favorite every time.
