This seasonal integrated unit includes the following resources:
Writing Prompts and Stationary

Administer one prompt a day and allow students the opportunity to practice inventive spelling, matching illustrations with words, and using sight words.
Math Word Problems:
Administer one a day. Students can use math mat and manipulatives to act out and solve each math problem. The word problems are suitable for small group modeling, partner work, or individual evidence.
Literary Book and Questions:
Books can be printed of in color and laminated for use in whole group or small group. The matching comprehension questions prompt students to record story elements, predicting, inferencing, and plot retell. Graphic organizers can be incorporated for evidence purposes.
Build a Bat Activity:
Students can follow oral directions or teacher example to create a bat out of shapes.
Informational Book and Questions:
Book can be printed in color and laminated for use in whole group or small group. The matching comprehension questions prompt students to recognize and record main idea, supporting details, individual explicit facts, and use of facts for inferencing.
