Shape and fine motor control practise – Fun with Shapes – ‘Robot Rap’
In this pack you will find 3 fun robots – ‘Rapper Robot’, ‘Racer Robot’ and Roly-poly Robot’ to cut and paste to match the little picture. Students practise their scissor skills while working on their shapes. Each shape has a dotted line to cut around.
This activity is an interesting one to see how students are able to carefully observe the picture and copy it and to see how developed their spatial awareness is. I have found my students love these activities and with practise become better at rotating and manipulating the shapes to make them correctly match the picture.
Extend your students by asking them to name and describe the shapes used in their robot. Or, graph the shapes used and compare the data with the other robots.
Alternatively, remove the small picture from the top right corner and students can create their own robot!
