One of my favorite Thanksgiving books is 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving
. Many of my students need to work on elapsed time and have alot of difficulty with this concept. So I developed this fun smartboard lesson to help them get a better grip on it. While this activity was designed to go along side of the book, it can also stand on its own. I have included two clocks on each slide. One clock is interactive so you can have students set it to the current time and then move it ahead or back based on the word problem to show the elapsed time. The second clock is under the scenario and students can use the pen to make the hands show the correct answer to the question. There is also a bonus question that asks students the time of day: morning, afternoon, and evening. Hope you enjoy this fun Thanksgiving lesson!
This file opens in Smart Notebook so be sure you have the software before you buy in order to use this lesson.
