Are your kids getting a bit excited about the upcoming winter break and holiday? So are mine!! It is getting harder and harder to keep their attention these days! That is why I developed these fun QR code worksheets to use with our classroom iPads. Utilizing the iPads is always a great way to get my kiddos engaged and ready to focus again!
I created this set of worksheets to work on some of the skills we have been working on such as syllable counting, identifying vowels, and writing sentences. Here is how it works: students will use an iPad with a QR code reader app (there are many free ones out there, just download a free one from the app store to use). After opening the app the students will scan the QR code. After they scan the code a word will pop up on their iPad. Then they can read the word, write it on the page, count the number of vowels and circle any vowels in the word. They will then circle the picture that identifies their word, draw a picture of their word, and then use the word in a sentence.
That is it! In no time you will have your kiddos back to focused on their work...or at least we hope they will be!!
Winter word vocabulary/sight words included in these worksheets:
15. candy cane
I hope this helps you settle your kiddos down a bit before the holidays...my fingers are crossed it will do the same for me ;)
