The Function Notation Scavenger Hunt was created by Pupsaroni Puzzles for an Algebra 1 classroom for the Functions unit. This set of cards focuses on students evaluating an equation at a certain domain value. Students are encouraged to use the function machine for this activity so they plug the domain value in to get the correct range value. Students will practice evaluating functions in function notation working alone or with a partner. This activity has students up, walking around, practicing the function notation material, while communicating with their peers about the topic. There is an instruction sheet as well as an answer key included with the cards. Keeping them stored in a baggie or manilla folder makes them easily accessible for math centers, personal review, or just a "get your students up, walking, and talking about the topic" activity.
