Multiple Representations of Functions
TEKS Aligned: A12A, 8.5G
This is a set of 4 questions (plus 2 blanks) where the student is given one of four representations of a relation (a set of ordered pairs, a table of values, a mapping, and a discrete graph). They work in groups of 4 (each with a different colored pencil) and find one representation each (they pass the paper when they have finished theirs). The representations can be found in any order. Once the other 3 representations are found, the 4th person finds the domain and range. The entire group then decides if the relation is a function and gives their justification. The 2 blank scenarios can be used to have students create their own relation/function.
