Product Description

This is a 3-page test with 28 questions over **functions, multiple representations of functions, domain & range of relations, functions, discrete & continuous graphs, functional relationships, function notation, and independent/dependent variables**.

The first 6 questions ask the student to determine whether the given relation is a function or not. If it isn't, they are asked to explain why. Questions 7 & 8 ask the student to determine if the two variables form a functional relationship or not. Questions 9 through 11, the student is given a graph and asked to find 3 function values written in function notation from the graph.

Questions 13 & 14 give the student a scenario such as Jorge reads 3 pages per minute and asks them to determine if the graph would be discrete or continuous. Questions 15 - 17 ask the student to determine the domain and range of each relation. Questions 18 & 19 give the student an equation such as y = 4x and a domain such as {-3, 0, 4} and asks them to find the range.

Questions 20 & 21, the student is given a situation such as Jorge reads 3 pages per minute and asks them to determine the independent & dependent variables. Questions 22 - 25 the student is asked to find the domain and range of the given graph (one is discrete; the other 3 are continuous), Questions 26 & 27, the student is given a function such as f(x) = 3x - 4 and asked to find a function value such as f(-3), and finally question 28, the student is asked to rewrite a mapping as a discrete graph.

Two forms of the test are included as well as a key. Can be completed in one class period.
