** See packet that contains all 3 Function worksheets or Complete Packet that includes Worksheets, Introduction and Foldable***
This tool is intended to be an introduction, review and TOOL to use as students learn to discern the difference in functions and non-functions in the following forms:
1. A set of ordered pairs
2. A table (both vertical and horizontal)
3. A mapping
4. A graph
5. An equation
Students should be able to:
1. Distinguish between functions and non-functions when data is given in any format
Notes for use:
This can be printed off and created from the format provided OR students can write all of the information on their own notebook paper (see scanned images at the end of this document for an example done on notebook paper).
See the scanned examples for what to write on the outside of the foldable, as well as filling in the examples on the inside (although you could clearly use your own examples OR as practice or an assessment have students complete their OWN examples inside.
Note that the document should be folded on the middle vertical line. If using notebook paper, fold the paper from the right over to the “red” line to the left so that the paper will still have holes showing to go in a binder (see scanned images).
Completely Common Core aligned.
Scanned completed version included.
