I find these visual supports to be helpful for my special education students. I use the larger b/d signs on my whiteboard as a reference and the small ones in the top corners of their desk. They find this b/d reference much less confusing than the "bed" reference on the Fundations nametags as they don't have to first figure out the beginning and ending sound of the word to determine which letter to use. I place the small vowel charts on each desk as well and remind students to look at or even touch the chart when attempting to encode or decode a word. I hope you find these as helpful as I have!
