Looking for a fun way for students to build reading fluency? This game is a great way for kids to practice their fluency and reading or decoding state names. This game is a non-fiction version of my fluency games and the most challenging version I have. It has at least one fact about each state. Students read cards (packed with sight words) or silly law cards as they travel around the game board. The most challenging and fun aspect of the game is having to read the cards in different voices - sometimes they whisper, sometimes they have to sound happy or grumpy, and sometimes they get to practice a more silly voice. The file consists of a game board, 50 fluency cards, and 16 silly state law cards. There are two versions of the game, one to print in color and one that is black and white. The game is designed for 2 students to play. The teacher must provide game markers and a penny to flip.
