This social story goes through several typical examples of how kids can be funny and ways that are usually not seen as funny (telling the same joke over and over). We also address inappropriate laughing behavior, such as when someone is hurt. We also go over how to tell if you are being funny. A consequential visual system is used to show the unexpected behavior , what other kids think and what might happen later (kids are mad, kids avoid me) and expected behavior, what other kids think and what might happen later. A t-chart with funny and not funny is used as a lesson summary. Great for kids with social cognitive deficits or on the autism spectrum.
