Fun activity with 26 words for students to find. Each word is a character name, or a location from the novel Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar.
In addition to finding words in the grid, students are asked to write one sentence about each word, showing its importance in the novel. This helps reinforce their knowledge of the novel. It is a useful first step as students begin their study of character.
This is the type of activity that could be used as a homework assignment or as class work on an occasion when you need a filler, and have nothing prepared.
The solution is given on the second page.
