The CRCT is right around the corner. Georgia teachers, I have put together a 40 question cumulative Social Studies test/review.
If you are like me, you’ve been reviewing and quizzing your students on standards from the beginning of the school year, along with current material that you are teaching. The county that I teach in gives benchmark tests this time of year in Reading/Language Arts, Math, and Science….but not in Social Studies. So I created my own!
All of the questions are aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards in Social Studies. I gave this as a test, but you may choose to use it as a review (possibly even an open book or open notes review)
The standards and units this cumulative tests covers include:
*Topographical features – 2 mountain ranges, 5 rivers, Equator,
Prime Meridian, lines of latitude and longitude
*Political roots of U.S. democracy
* Americans who expanded rights and freedoms (9 historical
The test is 5 pages long with all questions being multiple choice styled questions. Once I graded the tests, my students glued them down into their Social Studies interactive notebooks - adding to the materials collected to study for the CRCT.
It was a great way for my students and their parents to get an idea of how well they are prepared for the upcoming test.
