Math Teacher's Got Problems presents a fun, engaging way for students to practice finding the greatest common factor &least common multiple for two or three numbers. NO students like to sit and solve problems, but as math teachers we know practice is the key to mastery. This is a favorite activity of my students. (Yes, math practice is their FAVORITE). This scavenger hunt includes 15 GCF and LCM problems. Students are given a pair of numbers and must calculate the GCF & LCM (2 problems have a set of three numbers). Students must solve each problem correctly to finish the hunt. I use this in my 6th grade math class during Unit 1, "Number Systems". It is aligned with the common core mathematical standards for 6th grade 6NS4. It would also be a great review or math station activity. The hunt clues are hidden by an animal cartoon. This twist adds an element of fun students love! This product is print ready, takes minimal prep, includes an answer key, directions and tips for teacher use and ideas for intervention and enrichment. GCF & LCM Scavenger Hunt will be a guaranteed hit with your students. Making GCF & LCM, NOT your problem!
