The following is a Geom-a-Tree Math Activity that is a fun choice for elementary school students. This is a summative piece that can be used for evaluative purposes or it can also simply be used for homework or test review. Some of the things students will be asked to construct are different types of triangles and angles (i.e. acute, right, obtuse, isosceles, scalene and equilateral). Students must also use a protractor to create certain triangles with pre-determined measurements as well.
The task is posted in a Microsoft Word document and is fully modifiable so that you can adjust what you want your students to 'pick' from the GEOM-a-TREE and base it on what was taught in the classroom and what curriculum material you are required to cover.
