PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AS WELL AS PRACTICING HOW TO TELL THE TIME IN GERMAN - O'CLOCK AND HALF PAST THE HOUR.
GERMAN TELLING THE TIME GAMES CARDS & RECALL CHALLENGES
really do help to create a lively language learning environment. Students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their understanding & knowledge of how to tell the time in GERMAN in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher.
The cards, card templates and accompanying Recall & Write challenges have a bonus multi-focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing and spelling. Encourage students to reflect on their progress, and note targets for improvement using the Notes & Next Steps template.
This set includes a range of games and activities featuring the clock times o’clock and half past the hour. Students can play alone, in pairs or in small-groups. There are lots of whole-group games to play too. The games and activities are particularly useful as a set of either homework or revision activities as students prepare for exams and progress to new stages in their GERMAN learning programme. I’ve used Wie spät ist es? as well as Wie viel Uhr ist es? so that students can see that both are used.
The accompanying Reference, Recall & Write workbook includes a GERMAN to English time phrase and clock face reference workbook, which students find useful as a learning support resource. Ideally, students will keep the workbooks in their learning files/folders to use and refer to over a longer period of time, particularly as a revision resource. The workbook works best when photocopied double-sided, and double-stapled on the left-hand side, rather than a single staple in the top left-hand corner for example. This format is far more reader, writer and learner-friendly, and can be used more effectively as a learning and reference resource.
The resource comprises two non-editable files:
