This delightful Halloween song is used for preparing the TIKA TI rhythm and the "TI" melody. You could use this for rhythm and teach melody by ear, or use only for melody. It is your choice. Here is what you get:
*7 pages of fun
*RHYTHM PREPARE PAGE FOR TIKA TI. There are two small and one large eye that represent the tika ti. Find the new rhythm, tap and get a lovely creepy cackle.
*RHYTHM PRACTICE PAGE FOR TIKA TI. Drag the rhythms offered to the correct locations in order to write them.
*MELODY PAGES: There is a color coded reading page. There is also a writing page where the pitches are black. But, when tapped they will light up with corresponding colors. Ask a student to find all the "do's" and when they are tapped, the notes will light up red, for example.
*FULL SONG PAGES HAVE LOADS OF INTERACTIVE ITEMS: ...........Headstones, that when tapped, make specific sounds to help with meter concepts. They will fade away when tapped to facilitate discussion of beats and better understanding of meter.
...........Recorded accompaniment on full song pages: tap on the meter and get a violin playing the melody to sing along with. Tap on the sound icon and get a child singing to ukulele chords.
*ACCOMPANIMENT PAGE: When you enter this page you'll be faced with flying, red eyed, animated bats. Click on the chords in the pattern that are alike and be rewarded with a cackle and boiling pot sound. Click on the chord that is different and receive a lovely creaky door sound. Parts written for are xylophone and finger cymbal.
