GOTech Digital Interactive Biology Journals are virtual notes pages that students use to organize their class notes. Instead of using paper, glue, scissors and other supplies, all you need is access to a computer, the internet, and the right software. Using the online cloud (Google Drive – it’s FREE!) various activities can be created and assigned using Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Draw. Students can then easily navigate between topics and pages. Everything is always organized, neat, and accessible!!!!
Each Unit is broken down into smaller topic sections. Within each topic, students will take part in student centered, student choice activities:
- Unit Introduction Lesson
- Learn It! - Students take notes, write a brief summary, and write a few questions
related to it.
- Apply It! - Reinforcement and analysis activities
- Find It! - Students find articles, images and videos related to the topic(s). Cite the
sources of these items using MLA
- Create It! - Students create something original based on the information from their
notes. They can create your in any way you choose: graphic
organizers, hand drawn stuff, slideshows, charts, graphs, comics,
movies, etc. using the links provided to endless creativity resources!
