This activity was a hit!
I created a gallery in our classroom, related with civil rights movement (this connected with our unit about leaders).
Every picture is labelled.
We started by walking around the gallery, reading the details, grasping reactions.
So, then I gave each child a brochure with some of the information that I felt was significant. Most important I asked them to select three pictures, put down their numbers and reflect on them (some examples are given). This was great and the led to outstanding discussions!
You will get all the materials used (pictures, information, brochure).
