Product Description

The battles and events of World War I are astounding and this walk around activity simulates the hazards and danger of war around the world. This involving war produced more episodes than one lesson, or one course, could possibly cover. In this gallery walk, students will walk around to 6 stations in groups of 5. Students will experience, consider, and critically think and answer questions at each stage, while some students will become casualties of the fighting (in reading only). This is a great way to bring a few of the stories and situations to life in a way that gets students out of their seats, walking around, talking, thinking, and writing about World War I.

This resource contains instructions and 6 printed pages with pictures that tell stories, ask questions, and further along some of the events of World War I.

This activity can be completed in 15 minutes (2 minutes per station), or 30 minutes (4 minutes per station).

The events included cover trench foot, prisoners of war, The Third Battle of Ypres, the Armenian Genocide, and the German U-Boats. If you would like more stations in this activity, please let me know and I will create them!
