Ever wonder how much a gallon of mascara cost? Eye drops? Printer ink? In this activity students will use dimensional analysis to find the cost of a gallon of a variety of everyday items. There are 3 different versions so you get 24 different items in total so not all students are doing the same exact thing.
This is a great activity to introduce students to dimensional analysis in science classes as well as math classes. It alleviates the symptoms of boringworksheetitus by adding a unique spin on things. You can have students work in groups or solo.
