This review game was one that I developed for my methods class in college. It is based on the card game Black Jack or Twenty-one. I was honored to have it published in the Pennsylvania Science Teacher. This was more years ago that I care to say, but I have used this game with students in grades four through twelve ever since. The students like the competition and in the process are reviewing for a test or reinforcing information.
It is played with two students at a time. The teacher asks questions. The first student with the correct answer gets the points that appear on the top card of the deck. The idea is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The winning student then challenges another student in the next game.
