There are 3 sets of addition and subtraction cards to differentiate the game. Each set is color coded and labeled for your convenience. You can mix the addition with subtraction, or work on one at a time. Place the cards face down on the game board. Player One takes a card, reads the number sentence, and tells the sum or difference. His or her partner must agree with the answer. If the answer is correct, Player One rolls the die and advances on the game board. If the answer is incorrect, the player loses his or her turn. Play moves to the next player. The first person to reach the end is the winner. Have fun!
Teacher Tip: Print the fact cards on card stock so that you can’t see the facts when the cards are face down. You can also try printing the last 3 pages (background pages) on the back of the cards.
