This is perfect for small group instruction, tutoring, or a center during the day.
There are 4 sets of word cards to differentiate the game (Pre-Primer, Primer, Grade 1, and Grade 2). Each set is color coded and labeled for your convenience. Place the cards face down on the game board. Player One takes a card, reads the word, and uses it in a sentence. His or her partner must agree that the word was read correctly. If the word is read correctly, Player One rolls the die and advances on the game board. If the word was read incorrectly, play moves to the next player. The first person to reach the end is the winner. Have fun!
Teacher Tip: Print the word cards on card stock so that you can’t see the words when the cards are face down. You can also print the last 4 pages (background pages) on the back of the cards. That also gives your cards a little added flair.
I have also enclosed blank cards so you can print and write in your own words. Each colored set also has a few blanks you can write on if any cards get lost.
