This game includes a game board, cards, instructions, and a key that are all in Word format allowing for editing. It was designed to help students interact with the content concerning group names and electron configuration as they pertain to the group name on the periodic table as well as a few specific element characteristics. I found the need for this as students seem to struggle with remembering the names and fail to understand the power of prediction available because of the periodic table.
GAME PLAY: Students draw cards and mark the board in all squares that relate to the element name (or symbol) or group name on the card. Students win by having the most marks on the board at the end of play.
